So, we say want, we do
and, this allusion stinks
like too many lies
rapturous yells claim victory
in the name of
idolizing stamps licked clean
flavored paste and water
I say walk
I say run!
I say go outside
play it like you mean it
I say go!
So, we breathe
brandywine vapor
the taste of regret
saliva trails inside your head
imagined elements cut deeper
stations please!
line by line
I say walk
I say run!
I say go outside
love it like you mean it
I say go!
So, it's in the speaking flies
the buzz, the head counts
swollen tongues flapping
in the face of windbreakers
be a man! Shut up girl!
rolling and enrolling
marching human mills
I say walk
I say run!
I say go outside
live it like you love it
I say go!
So, slippage fills the pockets
copper throats and mary-janes
cracks mean different things
different strokes kiss the hollow, and drink
mechanical religious acts
spew like pews overrun
oh! savior come!
I say walk
I say run!
I say go outside
die like you want it
I say go!
